A story about "Ilium" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve read historical fiction and I’ve read science fiction. But in Illium, Dan Simmons manages to combine both genres to create a good piece of work. If Mahnmut and Orphu debate Proust and Shakespeare on one side, Harman and Savi discuss the past glory of humans in the future. Quantum technology theories are explained in between pages that portray Homer’s Illiad. All these combine to make an engrossing read.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Seems like another round of travelling all over the place for Garion and his friends. Too many deaths fill the book.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Written in the form of letters, this story is one of the best I had read in recent times. I had kind of guessed the ending, but even then the way how all the loose ends were tied up at the finale was superb.

Wonderful movie. Definitely a must-see if you really love good movies. Planning to get a DVD once it is released.

The movie was brilliant. I hope that the book that inspired the movie is even better.

A story about "The Protector" — 5 years ago

It was a typical Morrell thriller with the nitty-gritties of the trade explained quite wonderfully. Morrell had said that this book was a sum of all the experiences that he had learnt during his writing days.
