i can’t believe i haven’t read this yet… so now i am. and it’s great.
not sure what i think yet… is it mocking postmodernism or critiquing society? it’s a tough call for me so far
until i start nanowrimo i’m going to read parts of this book for intellectual stimulation.
this an awesome introduction to the thought of zizek. while i’m still not sure how i feel about the real-world application of psychoanalysis, this book convinced me of its value in literary and film criticism.
in order to understand kristeva and some other essays better, i’ve decided to start reading pieces of ecrits again, even though it’s extremely confusing. it will be good for me, though.
this is my favorite vonnegut book. at first i thought “cat’s cradle” was my favorite vonnegut book, but after re-reading that one i realized that this was it.
i continue to love zizek and his amazing/unique view of the world
the stories definitely are connected… in a very strange way. better than i thought, actually.
way sexual and way revolutionary. this is a great memoir—a “classic” of gay lit, i would say.
i read bits and pieces for the exisentialism class i took a few years ago. now i’m revisiting. i love this dude.
