Why I gave up consuming "The Rise of the Creative Class: And How It's Transforming Work, Leisure, Community and Everyday Life" — 2 years ago

The book is probably interesting, but at the same time it has some kind of “heaviness” in it that makes it hard for me to really get started in reading it.

The world is full of books and I’m not making any progress with this one so I’m giving it up and moving to something more exciting :)

Why I recommend "Somebody Else's Kids" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A really touching story that makes you think about what’s important in life. It’s really hard to understand what it would be like to live in this world without knowing how to read… But it’s great to see that it’s not your reading skills that define who and how important you are.

A story about "Peopleware : Productive Projects and Teams, 2nd Ed." — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

So far I’ve only read the first part (started reading the book yesteday) and I must say that it’s thrilling to see how little the industry has changed in almost 20 years.

The book was written in 1988 and it looks boring, but once you start reading it, it feels so fresh and interesting that you cannot let it go from your hands. I won’t give a final opinion on the book before reading it all the way til the end but it sure feels promising.

Why I recommend "Slack: Getting Past Burnout, Busywork, and the Myth of Total Efficiency" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think this book is something every knowledge worker and especially those in manager positions should read and think about.
