A story about "Italian Roast Coffee" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A Dark yet not burnt coffee roast. I use it in preference to Espresso roasted Coffees. Since my Espresso Robot at home takes beans directly, I just buy it as beans and have fresh ground for every shot.

Oh, many times the Roast has more to do with the flavor than does the region or variety of the coffee.

A story about "Horizon Organic Milk" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

For me Buying Organic Milk has a number of rational with the first being the lack of hormones and antibiotics. But, perhaps the most important is a bit of consumer based “social engineering”. I want to encourage good farming practices, stewardship for the land, respect for the animals, and reduce the odds of antibiotic resistant bacterial strains developing.

Organic farming practices support all of these goals.

Oh, and Horizon can be found in most markets in many cities on the west coast and comes in two basic forms. The basic Pasteurized version which must be handled by your market just like other milk and an Ultra-Pasteurized version which has been raised to a higher temperature for a longer period so that it can survive the distribution system a bit better. (I won’t argue the health benefits of one over the other beyond the issue of lack of proper regard by markets for proper storage of dairy products. Ultra-Pasteurized milk survives the extremes of the distribution and shelving process in a much fresher state.)

A story about "Quad Vente Latte, Organic Milk with 1 Sugar in the Raw" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A combination of balanced Coffee, Milk, and sweetness with a bit of healthful organic milk. The slightly nutty-molasses flavor of Turbinado Sugar (Sugar in the Raw) gives this Latte a nicely complimenting warmth. Served hot, warm, or iced. Yum!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Excellent book with much more than its story-line going for it. If you want a view of a plausible future of pervasive technology… this one has a number of things right.

WORTH CONSUMING!

What an amazing book and having met a number of BioTech types… actually plausible on one level. Definitely worth it.

A story about "Kraft Dinner (Macaroni and Cheese)" — 3 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

More a political statement than anything to do with taste… It tastes quite good… but its parent company is the kind of Cynical Abusive Corporation that sells products that kill, products that cause harm and defends its “rights” to do so with massive political contributions. Its time to stop supporting the vile “anything for profit” motive corporations and executives. Its time to see that supporting evil, even good tasting evil, hurts everyone.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Romantic and funny… Wonderful chemistry and the “IM dialogs” that seemed to reflect my own life at times. Lovely, fun, light, and worth sharing.

A story about "Contact" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Contact is an amazing film to experience, it (in many way) changed my views on some topics for its philosophic perspective. But, Contact is also a triple theme love story, the love of a lost parent, the love of knowledge, and the romantic love of a destined soul mate told with in a tale of both worldly and self discovery. It is the number 1 film on my all time top-ten list.
