I really liked this book. Steven Sherril writes with syle and grace. I’m also a sucker for mythical references.
I’m not entirely sure what I thought of this book. I liked the concept and the imaginative ideas behind the magic etc. but it was a bit flat and drawn out.
I liked this book although it was rather short. I think it suggests that there are plenty of good things to come from Sara Gran. I’ll be watching out for her next one.
Something a bit different from the standard crime novel. I enjoyed the sinister overtones.
Still one of my favorite authors. There are very few authors out there that write this kind of subtle supernatural tales and Graham Joyce does it very well.
The first Graham Joyce book I read. Not the kind of Tooth Fairy you would want rustling about under your pillow. I surprised that it is so difficult finding any of Joyce’s books in the main street book stores.
Still working my way through some of the exercises. Also useful as a reference, I find I keep coming back to it.
I’m not sure about Leviathan. I keep picking it up and putting it back down after a few pages. It is well written but it just hasn’t managed to hold my attention (might be more to do with my current state of mind).
My introduction to Neal Stephenson. I really enjoyed it, clearly there are obvious comparisons to Gibson but the voice and the ideas are unique. I liked the richness of the ides peppered throughout the novel.
