WORTH CONSUMING!

i went to the city (SF) the other day..some ting about a block party that the Intersection for the Arts was hosting and me wanting to check out this dude’s poetry; a brother, the rev. tim taylor..part of B/GLAM which is Black Gay Letters and Arts Movement www.bglam.org, anyhow..turns out i got to the city a bit earlier than the event..and being social dysfunctional..i started to call on this brother..to see if he would smoke me out..just as i was dialing his number..i spied him crossing the street at 16th just coming from that funk”y wallgreens..anyhoot, i stood in this face..and we decided to hang for a bit..yeah..he smoked me out like righteously..and i was so tanked i could hardly get back to the streets; good thing i still had my dark shades on..otherwise..i proably would of been scarey to look at..anyhoot..i picked up the book from my friend..i’m kinda glad that happened..cause i had been wanting to read the ting..for a while..i went on the poetry reading..but was sort’a unimpressed with rev. t.taylor..but i sure dug cedric’s stuff..now..why i did i tell u all of this..black guys..we looked at each other..broke bread, and laughed..but some how..never really connected ..maybe its me..

A story about "Emulatory Whoredom" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

after Thelonious Monk’s ‘plays the music of Duke Ellington’ Mood Indigo but before Ammoncontact’s ‘One in an Infinity of Ways Heaing Vibrations ;i slipped in DJ Wally’s ‘Emulatory Whoredom EP2Starship (featuring ? which is about 6 cuts of what some call downtempo, hip-hop, i guess, but you can see i put em in slightly jazz tempo..which may be what a lot of kids think of as downtempo..now to me Monk ain’t really dat..but we could argue..this set had Eric Dolphy and John Coltrane live with My Favorite Things, again, not exactly what i would call downtempo..but any how wit DJ Wally, i definitly agree he’s surreal, and his beatz swing, nice and easy, i wouldn’t (don’t) need any MC over his stuff but I could imagine a lot of folks could party that way with him..he still seems to favor Dissection of music..cause Whoredom really illustrates his talent in musical compositon.

i’m 6’1”, roughly 166 pounds of ‘slim’ blank black flesh; i need an skin artist, who can fullfill my desire, i.e., who has both skills and vision..i’m a broke starving artist myself but i swear i will come up with some kinds of funds for this work i just hope we can compromise..cause i really am starving..but i feel now is the time for my skin to speak louder..photo attached of front start..look’n for virgin on back with doily design—would rather boys where more uh..duh..black look’n still piss’n
