A wonderful work combining fictional characters and stories with real historical people and events. Unfortunately, the last quarter wasn’t so good but that’s probably because I still have memories from the later days of the cold war and it all seemed too familiar.

Great coverage of the Baseband and Link layer including the parts I need on Inquiry, Paging and scanning

aspects of the semantic web but only one paper on it’s use in Pervasive Computing (and that section is perhaps too weak)

everything a software guy needs to know about embedded hardware (well, except for RF modules)

interesting given my planned trip although I’m not kayaking. The author’s style somewhat detracts from the story but then he’s not a professional author.

A wonderful book on the future of intellectual property. Carefully considered and stated arguments in an obvious lawyer trait doesn’t detract from the book
