WORTH CONSUMING!

Not what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised by its unique charm. Despite its rough start and being somewhat lacking in character/plot depth, overall it was worth-consuming. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little entertainment in some witty teen humor and dialogue. A good cure for boredom, gloomy weather, or sick days. An amusing tale.

A review of "Pride and Prejudice (Tor Classics)" — 3 years ago

Hmm..a little confused because I usually like the books better than the movies, and I thought I would’ve LOVED and ADORED this book! Turns out I was wrong..? I found it just okay.. Ever since I saw the movie a long time ago, I’ve been meaning to read the book. Finally, it came up in school, so I “had” to read it. I don’t know, maybe it was because I was “rushed” to finish by the deadline, but I found it to be too long and detailed for my taste.. I think I might like the movie better just because it sticks to the point. What I did like better in the book was the somewhat deeper quality to the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy.. But that’s about it. I don’t know, I plan to read it again sometime in the distant future, so maybe it’ll be better the second time around..?

Why I recommend "How to Be Happy, Dammit: A Cynic's Guide to Spiritual Happiness" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Hilariously helpful (with a refreshing design). If you haven’t read it, read it; if you HAVE read it, read it again!
LOVED IT.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s really sad that this stuff is going on. Watch the movie though, it’s worth it! Richard O’Barry is awesome.

Why I recommend "A Good Friend: How to Make One, How to Be One (Boys Town Teens and Relationships)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Actually, I think I read a different version of this book because the cover picture is different…but anyways ~ this book is awesome. Making friends and being a good friend might sound like common sense, but I think we often need to be reminded of how to do it. It’s easy to forget the basics.

This is a great book to remind you of what friendship is all about! (:

How "Lang Lang: Playing with Flying Keys" changed my life — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Reading this has renewed my love for playing the piano. It has challenged me to pursue music that I would not have even considered before. Thank you Lang Lang and Michael French. =)

A story about "The Usual Rules: A Novel" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

One of my favorite lines from the book (p. 327) :

“Making art isn’t about creating something pretty, he said. Any more than life is. It’s about telling the truth.”
