I just heard/saw “Be Here Now” on an AMC promo commercial. That made my day.

This is the second David Sedaris book I’ve read, the first being Me Talk Pretty One Day. I have to say I was expecting a bit more going into reading this, I liked Me Talk Pretty One Day was much better. Naked seems almost sloppy or thrown together, still funny but definately lags in parts.

My VCR committed suicide and took the tape with it! Yes I said VCR and tape, I just happened to find the tape around the house, so I wanted to watch it.

While I adore Conor Oberst’s other work, Desaperacidos, Commander Venus, and Park ave. I view (or hear rather) this as the only Bright Eyes album worth consuming.

Really there’s only a couple of songs that stand out “Come Back Alive” and “Everyone Is A Victim”, the rest just tend to blur together. Oh well, I still think it’s worth consuming.

It would do good to look at a map before citing cities and air force base names. Being that I’m from Florida and this story is taking place here, the inconsistency with actual geography is driving me insane! Tyndall AFB (outside of Panama City) is NOT across town from Gainsville! People do NOT drive back and forth between Gainesville and Miami in one day, it’s about 5 hours each way! Someone please do readers a favor and buy Betsy Carter a map.
