I never thoguht this would be the sort of book I’d read (I don’t usually go for anything thats a bit sciency or techy). BYt the author presents the subject matter in such a way that I think a child could follwo it.
Very good book!
I liked this book, much better than her prize winning “Wide Open”.
My byfriend introduced me to the works of Carl Hiaasen.
Chris Brookmyre – a favourite author of mine – is often compared to Hiaasen. As my boyfriend has the complete Hiaasen collection I intend to read more of him.
And I thought nothing could be funier than Bridget Jones’ Diary….
Not as good as I expected it to be. By page 34 I had worked out whodunnit – this is amazing for me, I tend not to be perceptive in these matters. I decided to read on regardless. Hiaasen does have interesting ways of getting to the end of the book…. but still I’m a little disappointed.
Just bought this. I read about Margaret Atwood in the New Scientist this week, so decided it was time for a change from Hiaasen and Brookmyre….. I’ll let you know how I get on.
