This is a wonderful story of a mother and her daughter fighting against poverty and social services to stay together. Sad at times, the overall feel of the novel is their undying love for each other. I couldn’t put this one down. +o)

I’m not sure about this one. I’m enjoying the smoothness of the read and that it never gets dull, although I find it incredibly depressing. I’m also not enjoying Dolores’ attitude – she seems way too angry all the time. Maybe I just want a happy read?
