A story about "Autumn from the Heart of the Home" — 4 years ago

Okay, from the photographs in this book, I think I have walked right by her house (and admired it) when I was on vacation in Martha’s Vinyard.

I’ve only had a chance to sample a few of the recipes in her book. I particularly loved the fruit dip. Also love the cornbread, especially when served with bee butter.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Saw this with my daughter, thinking it would be another boring kids’ movie about the underdog winning a sporting event. I ended up enjoying it very much, particularly the images of Boston, and the portrayal of working class issues of the time.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this. I like Sam Adams, and I like ale, but I don’t like this.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Obviously, I am reading this to help with one of my 43 things goals. It is slow going, and I’m not sure how much it will help me to understand the theories.

A story about "The Summer Book" — 4 years ago

I love all Susan Branch cookbooks, but this is the first one I ever had. My sister-in-law gave it to me as a birthday present a few years ago, I lost it in a move, then missed it so much I had to buy another copy. I should tell you that some of the recipes in it could use a little more information. (i.e. how long it takes to cook things) But this is an inspiring book and it will make you crave fresh vegetables you always thought you hated, want to grow an herb garden, and try drawing.
