A story about "The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials, Book 2)" — 4 years ago
I read the Dark Materials trilogy last summer. I loved these books.

They’re pretty good. Not too salty. They don’t taste burnt like some pretzels do, and they’re a lighter shade of brown. Too bad the bags are so small.
I saw this with a my daughter and a binchofmy nieces and nephews while other adult relatives of mine went to see “Pride and Prejudice”, even though it was my idea to see “Pride and Prejudice” in the first place. But I’m not bitter. It was cute. Most of the kids I was with thought it was funny. The ocean (sound?) was beautiful in it.
I wish I had started this series after they had all been released. I like them the first time I read them but they don’t hold up to being re-read out loud as well as you might hope. This was worth reading because my daughter enjoyed it. I’m hoping that she will be able to read the next one out loud to me.
This was interesting, but did not end up helping with my lesson plans as much as I would have hoped.
I’m reading this to my daughter.
I’ve done one scarf out of this book so far, and it came out really well. There are lots of tips about altering patterns, etc. that look useful. I have looked through this book many times and will consider it consumed when I have tried three different designs succesfully.
I brought this to Ohio with me, but no yarn or needles. The stories are neat. There are a few projects in there that look interesting.
This book inspired me to try to be sexy again. I may be failing miserably, but I’m trying.
I asked for an all purpose cookbook for Christmas last year, hoping that my mom would get me The Joy of Cooking. This cookbook kicks the Joy of Cooking’s booty. It has many variations suggested for most of the recipes. I have yet to try a recipe out of it that didn’t work or taste good. If you can only have one cookbook, this is the one.
