WORTH CONSUMING!

I was surprised how much I liked this. It was a perfect introduction to this story for my daughter. Some of the puppets were just spooky enough. And Michael Caine reacted very convincingly to them.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

While I appreciated some of the jokes in this, I didn’t actually laugh at any of them. A little too over the top for me.

It was okay. It didn’t cure me of any crushes.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I loved it. It wasn’t as wonderful as the Dark Materials books. Too bad I didn’t realize it was book three. It seems like the series could go on forever, if he felt like it. (I wouldn’t mind.)

WORTH CONSUMING!

This book was fun to read out loud to my girl. It was kind of interesting to read about the way they lived. That said, I think Pa was very selfish to bring his family out to the middle of nowhere and at risk from being massacred just because he didn’t want to be around other people. Also, children need to think about the point of view of the Indians when they read this book.

WORTH CONSUMING!

On Saturday morning, my mother informed us that she and my father wanted to watch a movie with us. It was supposed to be a Christmas movie, but it was hard to think clearly with the cute guy at the video store making so many suggestions. My daughter and I came home with three different videos, but this was the one we all ended up watching. I enjoyed more than I expected to. My mother told me she loved it. My father wouldn’t admit to anything, but he was laughing a lot during the movie.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This time when I read Lemony Snicket (a name which here means Daniel Handler) I wondered if he was doing NaNoWriMo when he wrote it. It seems to me that it seems to me that he might be injecting (by injecting I mean adding extra, unnecessary words) extra, unnecessary words in his sentences. But I like these books anyway.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Very little plot, stereotypical characters, lukewarm love scenes. I’m not even sure why I bothered to finish this.
