A question I have about "Chan" — 3 days ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

What kind of fruit is in this drink? The waitress said that it was strawberry and some other kind of fruit, but I don’t remember the name of the other fruit. I think that it is a fruit that is not commonly found in the U.S. The other fruit is like an inside of a grape, the gooey part with the seed.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The first half was just ok. I considered turning it off because it was really corny. But I’m glad that I kept watching it, because the second half had me hooked. The last half hour of the movie had me at the edge of my seat.

A story about "The Living Goddess" — 1 week ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Some things I learned from The Living Goddess:

There are 3 goddesses believed to be reincarnations of Durga/Kali in Nepal.

2 of the goddesses are children, and 1 is an adult. The adult one is a goddess still only because she never menstruated.

During festivals celebrating Kali, animal sacrifice is prolific. Animal blood and alcohol are auspicious. People even sprinkle animal blood on car tires for good luck.

The current King of Nepal became king after he killed his brother, who was king at the time.

Maoists in Nepal are causing a great deal of civil unrest.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I had an interest in reading this book because of the controversy surrounding it and its interesting subject matter. Anyone who criticizes the book or the topic without reading it is due for a shocker upon reading the text, for all criticisms are squashed via thorough discussion and sound empirical testing. An excellent read for anyone interested in correlations between social factors and indicators of success or failure in life. One prerequisite for consumption of this book would be an ability to read charts and graphs and to draw conclusions from the data.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

It was difficult to understand this book because the author chose to write in Russified Cockney English. I didn’t get past the first chapter. I might just check out the movie instead to get a better picture of the story.

I couldn’t watch any more after that horrible rape scene of the little boy. I felt as if I were to vomit.
