A story about "Dear Catastrophe Waitress" — 1 year ago
Very pleasant, but what is a Glasgow band singing about a baseball player for?And in many trips to Scotland I’ve never heard an accent like the singer’s.Oh well, art for art’s sake-
I'm currently reading 5 books, listening to 6 albums, watching 4 movies, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 0 other things.

This piece of pre-packed plastic is an insult to the music scene of the city, shame on anyone involved.
Awful, don’t waste your time, even if you like this sort of easy listening rock it’s still a waste of your life. How often has someone sang,”you know what I mean?”
Typical comment of someone who neither likes nor understands a certain kind of music,”it all sounds the same to me.”Well it does, thank goodness I didn’t pay to hear it.
Why?Why do people ruin great songs with crap mixes? No song on here is better than the original, most are acceptable, but still no excuse.
I preferred Star Time, thought this was too artificial, too short and not like the usual James Brown live, funk experience
Once there was a time a long time ago when you bought an album and listened to it until the stylus bled and you loved the album or wanted to kill whoever had recommended you to spend your money. The result, you didn’t just want to hear the hits but the complete album as a whole,it had to be more than just its parts.
This album has no fillers,it is a whole, the less famous tracks just help you to appreciate James Brown’s great talent.Great voice, great stuff.
Take a look at our Chav infested streets, then watch this film,it just looks so quaint.
I’m sure the days of doffing caps were worth rebelling against, and the poverty in all these 60s films goes to show how much we have but perhaps laughing at toffs’ accents and their attempts at good manners, the changing room scene, isn’t as smart today when a bit of courteous behaviour would be welcome.
Fine period piece nevertheless, although didn’t think Tom Courtenay looked very athletic.
Worth listening to,but not a hell of lot of variety to the songs
Even if there were no other reason, then this album would be worth listening to to hear Van laugh, hard to believe but apparently he does lighten up sometimes, but there is of course more.
Stranded,Celtic New Year,Keep Mediocrity at Bay,and Just Like Greta, are my favourite tracks.
A big thumbs up pop pickers for this one.
