I now know where David Hockney found his inspiration.
Time has not been kind to this film adaptation of one of the classics from the golden age of sitcoms.Avoid like the plague.
Pleasant drivel,some strange subject matter
Funny how what was so shocking thirty years ago looks almost camp and cliched today.Alan Clarke made a lot of good tv of course but I can’t agree with the idea that if you treat people like scum they’ll behave like scum,49.8 per cent of the British population are scum, that is a fact which I’m sorry you can’t argue with, and it doesn’t matter what any government does it will always be that way.People used to blame Thather and institutions like borstal for societies problems but I don’t think new Labour has brought a golden age of civic responsibilty to the UK.
Watch and enjoy.
Think only “paintball’s coming home” really succeeds, still always worth listening to,that’s why I rate it wishy washy.
amazing I like an album with one track over thirty minutes.
Did Marr do anything here?Just sounded like New Order, but not good New Order, forgettable.
