A story about the last time I consumed "Mighty Like a Rose (With Bonus Disc)" — 6 years ago

I bought this cd years ago at a used cd place in Bellingham, WA for $6.99 or something like that. I have since lost the cd. The week before last when Elvis Costello finally became available on iTunes I downloaded this album. This might be my favorite EC album. It is so angry and raw and sad. I’m so glad I bought it again cuase it rocks.

A story about "The Last Unicorn" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was my favorite movie when I was little. I haven’t seen it many, many years. My little sister much have watched it a hundred times.

Why I recommend "Mussels" — 7 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Mussels are DELICIOUS. But I am horribly allergic – hence the “not worth consuming”. But YOU should comsume them because they are yummy!

How "Lobster" changed my life — 7 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I only say it is not worth consuming for me, personally, because I am allergic to lobster. So please don’t consider that a review.

A story about "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" — 7 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

When my friend and I saw this movie in the theater we had smuggled in bottles of booze (rum and coke for her, gin and tonic for me) in our coat pockets. By the time we left we though this was the funniest movie we had ever seen because they were big, strong drinks. Unfortunately we had forgotten that they were also carbonated so when we opened our big, strong, carbonated drinks they erupted all over us and the floor of the theater. It was summer and we wearing shorts and tank tops. When the movie ended and we left we were drunk and sticky.

A story about the last time I consumed "hot & sour soup" — 7 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Usually Hot & Sour Soup is worth consuming – when it’s from a good Chinese restaurant. This instant crap is not so good and it kind of made my tummy hurt. I don’t think I am going to eat the rest of it.

How "My Aim Is True" changed my life — 7 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

On the list of albums that have changed my life I would put this one right after Nevermind by Nirvana. Mostly based on the fact that it was his very first – so it was a good place to start when I began building my Elvis Costello collection. If I were to choose only one EC album that changed my life, I’d go with this one.

How "Nevermind" changed my life — 7 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Nevermind changed the way I think about music and life and the way I see the world. I was 13 the first time I heard it. It was the first album that changed my life and there has not been another one to compare since. Although Bleach was the very first Nirvana album I ever heard (thanks to my brother, Josh) Nevermind is definitely the one that became a part of my daily existence. This album, unlike any other, became the soundtrack for my entire adolescence.

Why I gave up consuming "We Three Kings (Dig)" — 7 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s possibly the best Christmas album ever. The Rev is inches ahead of The Brian Setzer Orchestra for most rocking Christmas tunes on my iPod, this week. It goes back and forth between the two.

A story about "The Da Vinci Code" — 7 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Not bad for fluff. I don’t usualy read mysteries but after all the hype I was interested. It was a fun read, kind of disappointing after all the hype. Angels and Demons is much better.
