It was ok, well written and all that, but too mellow and I actually found it rather boring.

Wonderful movie, just watch it.

Expedition L by the Norweigian author Erlend Loe is such a brilliant book. I just finished reading it for the second time and it was even better than the first time. I highly recommend it. Look for other work from this author; Naive.Super is also very good.

It has taken me forever to to read about half the book and it’s sooooo boring.

Bengt and his wife (Marie-Therese) stayed for one year at Raroia, and the book is sort of a combined diary and anthropological study about the relatively untouched and rarely visited french polynesian island. Really fascinating and comes really close to the dream of the tropical paradise and escape from the industrial world. Then again, it was written more than 50 years ago (1953) so I suppose a lot has changed since then. A good book for dreamers though.
