WORTH CONSUMING!

throughout the entire movie, yes, it was excellent brilliant, everything you can imagine. this movie is great. but to me, what really makes it a classic, legend, piece of art that should be a requirement for everyone to watch, is the last 10 minutes of it.

am i right or am i right?
GOD that last 10 minutes i was completely glued to the screen. everything was happening at once, everything intertwined perfectly—so much twists and turns. and the last line of the movie was completely brilliant,of course.

no wonder this film is put on such a high pedestal….

WORTH CONSUMING!

honestly, i really didn’t find james dean and sal’s performances at all ‘homo’. everyone says that, i just can’t see it. to me, it just seems that plato (sal’s character) was just extremely lonely and feels isolated, so then when all the sudden jim came along, and plato noticed he was sort of kind to him, he had it in his mind that they were already best friends and jim could almost be his surrogate father. i mean at the beginning of the movie, plato i think shot a couple puppies or something, this kid was not sane! haha the whole ‘oh yeah, and if you’re really good friends with him, he’ll let you call him jamie’ think really frightened me, haha. this plato kid had some issues :b :/

i just know that the ’you’re tearing me apart’ made me start bursting out laughing though. but the performance was really amazing . you know, it’s really hard to act if you think about it. the fact people can bring black words on a white paper to life so emotionally is pretty amazing.

i dunno, just my opinion. i must sound like an idiot :b

WORTH CONSUMING!

i haven’t read the book, which, unfortunately if you generally read any book before watching the movie, the movie lacks considerably.

but, since i HAVEN’T read it and have nothing to compare it to, i thought this was a great great great movie! i’ve seen it a couple times already.

my favourite part would be after he brought his brother to see his mother and he was on the swing.

just that line and the camera, ’i’m not my brother’s keeper’ while the cameras rocking back and forth like the swing he was swinging in—i just thought it was great.

haha

anyways, just my opinion. if you’ve read the book i can completely understand if you hate this movie, haha. i mean, a clockwork orange the movie everyone thought was wonderful and genius. i didn’t hate the movie, but i thought it was completely trash compared to the book. ugh. haha :b

A story about "After Dark" — 3 years ago

i don’t know, but i think if i wouldn’t of read the wind up bird chronicles before this, i would like this book a lot better.

the idea was interesting, and i really love when books and people objectively just focus in on one person and just list everything that they do (i know, sounds typical) but really objective. like ‘black hair, glasses, shes reading a book. she orders coffee. a man comes down and sits next to her…’

i don’t know, in order for it to sound cool it has to be pretty blunt sentences, which haruki writes it like that sometimes.

personally, i thought that whole eri asai’s chapters were extremely boring. just seemed like murakami was just sitting there thinking of something that would be really surreal, with no significance.

i love how nothing really gets resolved since, afterall, its all in one night. i loved loved loved how everyone’s story that was so focused on just ended, you know? well, taki…something, and mari’s kind of ending well, yeah? haha anyways, OK book, but not that great or spectacular.

also, it took me a day to read it, it was quite short and easy~

WORTH CONSUMING!

it really is amazing how this film brought back the memories of the filthy dungeon that i called middle school.

i don’t understand why high school gets the bad rap of them all (well… yes i do actually :b) but its not nearly as bad as …gu-gjadf middle school.

middle school is at that weird age where you’re just starting to realize your true interests and you start to well, think maybe? for me at least. everyone’s at their ugliest usually, and the people that aren’t and look prettier or slightly more mature are the ones that get catered to.

this entire movie i was just so happy i was not that girl, and i was just constantly laughing and screaming at the movie for that fact that brandon kid. i don’t want to spoil the movie i suppose, but for those who have watched the movie, you understand. i had no idea that was going to happen huh. i was just laughing, i couldn’t help it :b and then i was kind of grossed out too __ ooh plus i love that drum music that would turn on every so often…

haha and the scene where brandon and her are both in detention making up a test, that brought back a memory when i had to make up a math quiz and this one guy just started doing that kissing thing at me and everyone was laughing :| i couldn’t even concentrate, and probably failed the quiz like the girl did in the movie :b

alright then, this turned out to be long and rambling-like, so i’ll just end it now, haha,

good movie!

A story about "The Seventh Seal (The Criterion Collection)" — 3 years ago

GOD this was amazing.

just some of the scenes, so haunting and perfect. the whole… the whole aura? i can’t think of the word…but the whole aura of some of the scenes, so hauntingly beautiful. this sounds silly, but it was so amazing to me. like a real piece of art if you would freeze frame it.

the part in which the Christians came out in black cloaks holding the cross in a huge line, and in the back of the line everyone whipping each other crying out in agony as they thought the world was going to end and god was punishing them so. amazing!

and the last scene, when everyone was in the castle and the wife was reading, it was ingenious. death comes in and leads them out holding hands to finally dance with death.

sorry if i ruined it for anyone, but you should know better than to actually read a review or story about the thing you intend to read/watch! ;b

WORTH CONSUMING!

whenever i would start to read it, i felt so surreal…like my body and my mind was being absorbed into this entire world, like i was there in his house. it was so relaxing, his house, so simple. then i would get completely flushed, my face burning whenever some crazy thing happened, like the side of his cheek. so weird. then, suddenly, i would snap back into reality and feel so dizzy and confused, my face still burning, and i would just daze into the air and start to think everything out so clearly, so vividly with all the perfect words.

this must sound so bizarre, haha, but pretty much, it’s worth reading this book very much… it’s 607 pages, at least in my version, but it’s very worth it. you really can get into it though. this book completely broke my 6 or 7 months of no reading. although i do admit, the fact that half of everything you read is not concrete whatsoever really bothered me, but it helps to let you identify with the main character.

huh, i feel like i just rambled a bit—ah well.

A review of "Cheese Bagel" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

nothing satisfies the taste buds more than a cheese bagel. for breakfast, it may turn into your stomach’s worst enemy within a couple hours, and for dinner, it may just remind you how you never cook anymore…but for lunch. yes, for lunch, the bagel only reminds you how you need to buy bigger bagels ;b

i, personally, choose to set my toaster for 3 minutes. long, but worth the wait, heh. it’s soft yet crunchy on the tips, making a perfect balance. i put a piece of cheese between the buns and i set it in the microwave for a perfect 15 seconds. then, i get my water, and eat. oh yes, do i eat.

haha ;b
