Why I recommend "The Emperor's Bones" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love hisorical novels and, “The Emperor’s Bones” is one of the best novels I’ve read to date. I couldn’t put it down! It takes place in the 1920’s when China is on the verge of civil wars. Adam Williams writes with an intimate knowledge of China and his descriptive novel brought back the exact sounds, smells and sights of northern China. If you like a history lesson along with a lot of suspense and a little romance, I highly recommend reading this book!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This album is awesome and reminds me of my high school days. I just pulled it out last week to listen to it again. It still keeps me rocking after all these years!

A story about "Buffy The Vampire Slayer - The Complete Seasons 1-4" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m sure many of you will disagree with me but I loved the Buffy series and I know that there are more of you out there just like me. I thought the special effects and make-up were decent and the show is hysterically funny.

A question I have about "Cold Mountain" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I absolutely loved Cold Mountain, but I really want to know what happened with the movie! They aren’t much alike. In fact, I liked the movie until I read the book and after finishing it, I’m somewhat disappointed with the movie. Cold Mountain is a great read and kept me happily entertained.

A story about "The Red Tent" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I read this book when I was living in North East China. Books are kinda scarce up there, so we formed a book club for the teachers working at the local language schools in Changchun. I read this book after begging my mom to send it to me from Canada and I absolutely adored it. I passed it on to the other teachers in the area and people were begging me to give it to them next. I don’t know where it ended up and I wish I did because I’d love to read it again.

Why I recommend "Love in the Time of Cholera" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Marquez is an unbelievably talented author. His characters are vividly real and memorable. He makes absolutely every word count, and he does it with such splendor and passion that his books become an addiction.

A wondeful, beautiful, lyrical novel that runs like a song in your head. I yearn to read more…
