Why I recommend "High Visibility" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This record can stand it’s own ground against any classic or guitar rock played on US radio. This is a classic recording from the Hellacopters that really shows just how crazy talented they really are. Well, except for “You’re Too Good (To Me, Baby). I’m not sure what the deal is with that one…

A question I have about "Rock & Roll Is Dead" — 2 years ago

Ummm, what happened to the Hellacopters?

Classic — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you are a fan of balls to the wall guitar-rock, then you need to pick this one up. Every track is strong on this release along with some Hellacopters classics. I have no idea why this record didn’t get a better following in the US, because it is a simply brilliant recording.

A change of sound... — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Based on full-length lp’s, “By the Grace of God” marks a turning point for the Hellacopters in a more fine-tuned, radio-friendly and not as heavy sound. There are still some great tracks on here, with the title track being my personal favorite.

Early Dissection recordings... — 2 years ago

This is a release for Dissection fans only. Lot’s of early recordings and a lot of stuff that’s not really “fine-tuned”. Still, looking past some of the recording, it has some interesting stuff on it.

Not your usual Dissection... — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This recording is way different than the previous Dissection records. Many Dissection fans are split on either liking this or hating it. Me? I like this, but accept it for what it is. A record Jon made without the real Dissection. Still, this release stands strong for what it is. I think it would have had more fans if Jon didn’t put the “Dissection” name on this. Still… it’s worth checking out.

My biggest complaint about this would be the strong injection of the MLO texts and whatnot. A little too-heavy on the anti-cosmic stuff.

I recommend this as one of the best metal albums EVER!

For real. Not kidding at all.

Can't say I liked this one... — 2 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I picked this up in the hope that it would have lived up to it’s hype. It really didn’t. I had a hard time motivating myself to get through the book, and when I finally did, I found the ended quite anti climatic.

I didn’t care for Roth’s writing style much. He seems to like run-on sentences, and I found them quite annoying. The story line drags along slowly, and the only reason I finished this one was out of curiosity and hope that the end would make it worth it.

Quick read for WVU Fans... — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you are a Mountaineer fan from the Don Nehlen era, you’ll love this. It’s a quick read and can be skimmed in one setting. It brings back some good (and bad) memories of WVU football.

Good gift for your favorite Mountaineer…

apocalypse poetry — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

anytime i am asked to describe this book, I say “apocalypse poetry”.

I revisit this book on a daily basis. Mike Williams has a way with words that no one else can match. He uses words as a hammer to bash in your skull.

Fantastic poetry. Fantastic book.
