WORTH CONSUMING!

When i first started reading this I starting thinking that I didn’t want to finish it. It really didn’t catch my interest the first night.

However, I got hooked after my second night of reading it and eager looked forward to it every night until I was finished.

This was a good read. It really reminded me of a mini (well, really, really mini) “The Stand”. Maybe the whole post-apocolyptic only sane people left in the world feeling.

Without giving away any spoilers, I wish there was at least one more chapter.

If you are a Steven King fan, it’s worth the read… Even Choo Choo the Train makes an appearance!

Slow, grinding, fuzz-induced black metal. — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Only four songs on this, but I really don’t want more than that in one sitting from these guys.

So, as my title to this suggests:

slow, grinding, fuzz-induced, extremely distorted black metal. this has the type of sound that would probably sound excellent on vinyl.

This one is worth checking out.

As a Kevin Smith fan, you may like this. — 2 years ago

I wanted to see this just because I am a fan of most things View Askew, which naturally would lead me to want to see what Jeff Anderson was capable of writing/directing.

It’s very, very obvious from this movie that he is hugely influenced by Kevin Smith.

The highlight of this film is Trevor Fehrman. He gets most of the laughs, and if you were a fan of his work in Clerks II, then you’ll see what this dude is based on.

The acting could have been better in this. Real better. However, that’s an indy film for ya.

The movie is a good watch. Don’t expect to completely love this film and think it’s the best movie ever though.

A story about "White2" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is the first Sunn 0))) I ever heard, and I didn’t quite get what the fuss was all about.

Until I turned the volume up a few notches above “loud” on my iPod during a walk home. Then i realized what the deal was. Sunn 0))) is some crazy shit.

Play louder than loud.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Only three tracks on this one, but it’s still classic Xasthur and quite enjoyable. For some reason I’m seeing this priced with a full album type cost, so try to get it used.

Page-Turner, Good Read, fell apart a bit near the end. — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I read this thinking it would be more of a “Prison Survival” type book, and I picked this up on a novelty. What I found was a very interesting page turner about how a seemingly regular 9-5 person let his bad choices lead him into a situation where he landed in prison for murder.

I don’t want to say that Jimmy had it easy in prison, becuase nothing about jail is easy. However, he did get lucky in that he made friends with the right people. Jimmy seems like a likeable, friendly and trustworthy guy, and it is what kept his head above water while doing time.

Most of this book is about Jimmy’s time in prison. However, the last chapter deals with the events that led him there.

I really became engrossed in the story and was reading late into the nights to finish this. This book still leaves a few unanswered questions, and I would be interested in reading a “part II” to this to see how ‘OG” finished out his time, and how his life is going now.

Suprised this is not getting more attention... — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a well-produced disk of some very good metal. Not really “underground” per se, but I can see these guys standing apart from the pack eventually and getting some more attention…

No bad... — 2 years ago

This is a good cd, with the exception of the cover which is rather disgusting.

The disc is (I believe) simply a selection of singles and some unreleased stuff. It’s not really an “official” lp. Being the first stuff I have heard from this band, I think I’ll try to dig up some other stuff. They seem pretty hardcore in what they are doing and have a rather vile following.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Nothing special here… even a bit annoying.
