Translated from the Norwegian. Harry Hole, the protagonist, is on a downward spiral. He’s an alcoholic and he’s about to be fired from his job as a detective. Then there occurred a number of murders. This book sounds like your typical thriller but it’s not. Tightly plotted, great characters and twists and turns in the plot. Highly recommended.
