Because my husband is from Sweden and his family lives near Stockholm, I have visited Sweden many times but haven’t been around the country much. We’re going to spend two weeks traveling around Sweden next June and this book is turning out to be priceless. GREAT pictures (everything is in color) and just enough info in the blurbs to help me decide what’s worth checking out.

Though written primarily from a UK point of view, I like how the author weaves in quotes from well-known authors and philosophers and provides a historical context for how our society has become made up of workaholics.

Learn to kick back and just be!

Myself and another person online are using this text to learn Swedish with the help of our husbands (both from Sweden).

It’s not bad, a little old fashioned and sometimes trite but isn’t that the case with all foreign language textbooks? ;-)
