Yes, the title is humiliating. That doesn’t stop this from being one of the funniest manga I’ve read. Yuu Watase has really fine-tuned her art style over the years (it was already great ten years ago, now it is thrice more emotive) and her writing as well brings the characters to life just as a good manga should. Just be prepared for lots of comedy and romance, as well as a sip of angst.

This is actually the sixth volume in the Hakushaku Cain (Count Cain) series. I am dissapointed that Viz has started off here, but it is still an amazing read and giving the non-linear nature of the series, it is still very tangible. Also recommended- my favorite manga series, Angel Sanctuary. Also by this same author.

A brave and disturbing book. Really couldn’t tackle a more taboo subject matter. Complex and personal, well told.

Amazing! After so many years where the books I’ve read have slipped from my mind, this one is still quite clear. Though you may find it in the children’s or YA section it is a bitter and provacative book that I think older audiences would enjoy moreso. Quite misplaced.

An extremely lovely and exciting montage of short stories from around the world. Aimed at girls, and quite an enjoyable read.

I read this one when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I can’t remember anything about it, just that the main character had a unique life and personality that was fun and I hated to see it end.

The tone of the book jumps back and forth pretty wildly. I’ve heard of many loving it and hating it and loving it again. Not fantastic, a bit boggy pace sometimes, but has some extremely good moments.

Uncomplicated to read, but the tension and enjoyment gets higher and higher up to the end.. I enjoyed this one alot.

A pretty cute book (which is quite a change of pace for me!) The heroine is rather spirited.
