once again did not finish on time. ended up having to go buy the book the day before we met. it’s a small book, but i am not that fast. i’m glad someone picked this book. it read more like a regular fiction book than a mystery. i liked the setting; sweden, and i liked how we, as readers, get to peek into the swedish police ways of doing things. it seemed much more realistic that everything took a long time to solve. i really felt like i was there, which is such a wonderful experience. i coud hear the wind and almost feel the cold. well done. will definetely be reading more by mankell.
i was on a young adult book spree at my lib. and saw this. i remembered the title from the movie, which i have not seen. i thought the book was going to be more about the owls but instead was a pleasant story of roy and finding his place.
the most worthwhile aspect of this movie was i thought the box naoko kept the death stuff in was very pretty.
this was ok. not great, not horrible, just ok. i saw the other movie in the franchise so felt the need to see this one too. the guyh who played chuck made me laugh and i liked the message it portrayed. although worthy of my time, it also would’ve worked well as a background type movie.
i got this at the annual library book sale for $1. that’s all it’s worth to me. hilary duff, please do me a favor and be quiet! you kind of suck at singing.
am trying to convince my meds dr to take me off of this. it’s a hard battle but do NOT want to be on this drug anymore.
