I normally don’t go for romances, but this series defies all comparison. Part adventure, part history, part science fiction, and pretty darn entertaining.

The complete lowdown on all things Mutts. It’s a wonderful book; I’ve been reading mine in tiny bits to make it last. With beautiful art, natch.

Such a fun and accessible book – every single puppet looks doable. My favorite is the purple one with the changeable heads! Clearly, it’s time again to unleash my inner Henson.

Learn about how the Beatles used to take rehearsal breaks to watch the show, and which movie was financed in part by Genesis and Led Zeppelin! It’s interesting to flip through; but it’s more like the Beatles Anthology – snips of interviews put together in chronological order.

This is THE sweetest book – and illustrated by my favorite, Tomie dePaola. Sophie seems to love it almost as much as her daddy and I do.

I am not above reading something juicy for the summer (okay, anytime) – but Janey Wilcox keeps making so many bad choices it’s just painful to read. I guess I just can’t identify enough with her shallowness, or care enough to get past it. Plus the names are SO horrible. Really. It’s not the worst book I read, but it certainly didn’t resonate with me.

The inside scoop on the Bollywood movie industry. I thought it was fiction, but it’s not – yet still entertaining. It follows the rise of a new young star and the culture that surrounds him. Very interesting so far.

Compelling story about the enormous Forsyte family at the beginning of the century and what breaks them apart. I only caught glimpses of the miniseries on PBS, that’s next to rent. (ps ~ and lest you think I’m a snob, I’m using a Britney Spears tape insert as a bookmark – not mine, but a dose of reality all the same.)

A real page-turner so far, mainly because I wonder how much more Andrea will put up with before she cracks. Reminiscent of The Nanny Diaries.
