One of my all time favourite books. I re-read it at least once a year.

I first read this book in 8th grade. I remember getting so hooked on the storyline that I spend my lunchtime & breaks reading. This summer I lent the book to my 12 year old cousin. She told me that her friends got mad at her while she was reading because she didn’t want to play at rescue or lunchtime…all she wanted to do was read!
When I was a kid, I found this book in my mom’s books from when she was a kid. Fell in love with the story & the characters. A couple of weeks ago, I saw the book on her shelf and ended up finding a used copy online. Fell in love with it all over again.
If you are a fan of the show you might not like this book. It is about someone not on the show, an unknown survivor. It doesn’t focus on things that I love about the show—like the mystery of the island. Some of the characters from the show are in the book but the storylines focus mostly on those survivors we don’t know (or have even heard of). As someone who loves the show, I found this book lacking.
