So far I’m really enjoying this…
I have just picked this up again after a lengthy break from it. It was becoming dull and could not sustain my attention. So thought I would give it another try and hopefully it will pick up and I’ll finish it..
It’s a book that encourages the reader to be present, in the moment… Washing the pots, cleaning your teeth and all those things that we consider mundane can be done mindfully. Makes me realise how unruly my mind really is and how instead of being in the moment I am mainly living in the future. When washing the pots I am just thinking of getting them done so that I can move on to the next thing and then when I do that, I’m most probably going to thinking of the next thing that I am going to do!!! So I am not really living if you see what I mean, I am always projecting into the future and not fully engaging in my life. So I’m reading this book to help me gain some insight on how to be present…
Yummy, yummy tea. And what I especially love about Yogi tea, is the fact that each teabag comes with an inspirational message… :)
I almost let the title of this book put me off, I’m glad now that I didn’t. It’s a good true life, good humoured travel log of Lucy Edge’s trip to India. It has really had me smiling and laughing out loud amidst her yoga struggles, trips to see Mother Amma and Osho’s ashram etc, plus the elitism and egos of the beautiful people. I am really enjoying it…
Not listened to this in a while, it takes me back 10/12 years :)
And by the way the book is called Equal rites not Equal rights as all consuming insists on calling it… :)
So funny, it had many laugh out loud moments…
I went into a music shop the other day and found myself taken by the music, so much so that I sought out and asked the shop assistant who it was playing. Amy Macdonald I was told, almost bought it there and then, such feelgood music but decided against doing so for financial reasons… So was I in for a lovely surprise when my husband returned home from work yesterday with this? Yes I was, a pressie for me, been playing it ever since… :)
