Chaucer&amp;#8217;s tales put into a modern context are an extremely attractive package.  I read some of the Canterbury tales whilst at uni and found that Chaucer was a very cheeky and quite political writer for his time. I like adaptations that are brought up to date as they are made accessible to a modern audience and it helps to stop all the elitism that goes on in the acedemic world.  Baz Luhrmann&amp;#8217;s Romeo and Juliet had a similar effect.  I know so many young people who enjoyed this because they could understand and relate to it and they would never have attempted to look at Shakepeare&amp;#8217;s original works in any other form&amp;#8230; So it&amp;#8217;s all good stuff in my eyes :)&lt;/p&gt;</description>
