Why I recommend "Tron: Legacy" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I didn’t think this was my type of film, but ended up watching it and enjoying it. Now I really want to see the original Tron too.

A story about "Beowulf (Unrated Director's Cut)" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Predicatable story but worth seeing just for the visual images and special effects.

A book for Scanners — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I ordered this book from the library as it seemes to sound perfect for me and it was. This is a book for scanners, people who have many interestes. I think I@m mostly a sybil type scanner, I have many interests but I tend to keep coming back to the smae ones.

This is a brilliant book and I want to go back through it and do the exercises. I’d like to own my own copy of this and read Barbara Sher’s other books too. I’ve joined the forum at www.barbarasher.com to talk to other scanners. This book has helped me lots.

An ok read, but not as good as her others. — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I found myself struggling with this book. Other books by Picoult I’ve read in 3 or 4 days but this one took me 3 weeks. I wasn’t sure to continue reading it but I persevered.

I think I wanted it to be something it wasn’t. I was expecting a dramatic family story more like her other books, but this is one of her her earlier books and from what I’ve read they have a different style.

After part one I thought part 2 was much better and by part 3 I was properly into the story and read it all in one day.

I didn’t especially identify with any of the characters. I live in England, very near to the Scottish border and have visited the Scotland many times but I don’t think she acturatly portrays the Scotish and I think if the people of Wheelock had been in the USA so long they’d have less Scottish customs.

I thought I would love it, like I loved her others, which only lead to dissapointment. It was an alright read but not in the same league as the Pact or Perfect Match.

A story about "nectarine cobbler" — 5 years ago

I’d never made cobbler before but we had some left over nectarines so I made it based on the peach cobbler recipe on the bbc website. I only used half the butter but I wishes I’d cut down on the sugar too; it was so sickly! I want to make a cobbler again but I’ll use a different recipe next time.

Why I recommend "Introducing Feminism" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I learned a lot about the hiistory of feminism. It’s a quick read and it’s whet my appetite to read more on feminism.

Why I gave up consuming "Fasting Girl: A True Victorian Medical Mystery" — 6 years ago

I started to read it twice but just couldn’t get very far.

Why I recommend "Vanilla Bean Frapachino" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s delicious! Ask for it with an extra shot of vanilla! Yum!

Why I recommend "Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic Series)" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a good, light hearted read. The character is a bit annoying and self-obsessed at times and sometimes gets too lost in her fantasies with seemingly no grasp on reality; but nevertheless I enjoyed reading this to take my mind of my life and my problems and I read it quickly.

How "Rachel's Tears: The Spiritual Journey of Columbine Martyr Rachel Scott" changed my life — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This has really made me think about how I can be more spirtiual and be a better person.
