I got this book years ago and never picked it off the shelf to read. The reason for this was that somewhere i had read that it was boring and no good.

that is wrong. The story isn’t the most action packed roller coaster ride but the writing is very good and the story and background to the planet Vulcan is excellent.

If you are going to read this I’d recommend reading The Romulan Way by the same author too. It has a similar feel and the history ties in well.

Sad to say that Rick Berman and the guys have since destroyed the history that the books paint but hey, they also destroyed Star Trek too.

Tom Peters is fantastic, Rock Star business guru. Actually this not only useful stuff for business types (CEO’s, managers etc) but for individuals. This could change your life and attitude. Go on … brand yourself.

I liked this becasue of the approach. Basically the story is really simple, a little too simple?, but the story is broken up by having each alternate chapter retelling Romulan history, which was very good.

One question is why there are pictures of fighters from the original Battlestar Galactica on the cover

Ok, this was good although I found G.P.Taylar’s writing style a little difficult at first, not sure why, just did. The story was good, kept flowing although I think it may have suffered from either some serious editing or not enough time to develop fully. Some bits felt a little rushed.

Still it was very good and I’d recommend it.

This was good although it totally threw me when I realised what was happening by reading the back cover blurb LOL. Still, enjoyable ST novel and better than some others :-)

Ok, I drank the Lemon and LIme flavoured water and although it was OK, it wasn’t that nice. I found it bitter and sour andleft an unatural taste in my mouth. Yep, it had artificial sweetener in.

I am not asure if I have read this before. The story seems very similar, however, I can’t remember how it ends at the moment so perhaps I only read half of it before.

This is a novel about the Great Flood as found in the Bible. The reason I think it is worth reading is becasue it is simply a novel of what is found in the Bible, it doesn’t seek to argue a point or anything It tells the story, and for me that was a breath of fresh air. If you want to debate what actually happened, that can be done elsewhere, this book simply needs to be read and enjoyed… then you can dig deeper in the bibliography offered.
