WORTH CONSUMING!

Kind of hard to tell the difference between this beer and Red Stripe. Both come in neat bottles, both have mild, yet good tastes. I wasn’t able to really pick out anything distinguishing. Both are good, though!

A story about "Because of Winn-Dixie" — 2 years ago

I thought the story itself was quite good, but there were so many awkward moments in the dialog. I’m sure these actors could have handled a bit better writing and direction.

I really like the taste of this. Would be great with a steak or a burger.

A story about "Cryptonomicon" — 2 years ago

This is my second try at reading this book. The first time I only got a few chapters into it and put it down because of school work. This second time, I’ve gotten a little over half way through and have not the motivation to finish. I pushed myself through the first half, hoping it would pick up. I am more than a little interested in cryptography and technology, so I was by no means lost in any of his geek stuff, but I just couldn’t get into his stories.

I enjoyed Tipping Point more, but there were some fascinating anecdotes in this book as well. Gladwell loves to tell stories!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Gladwell is a catchy writer, but I saw several flaws in his stories that he really didn’t address. Two stories I know are completely false but were used as evidence. It makes me wonder about the rest of the anecdotal evidence he uses as proof. I still think there are very valuable ideas in the book and it is really interesting to read. But the credibility of Gladwell’s research is rather low in my book…

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is easly my favorite book. There are so many intricate stories and details that have been pulled into the main story. The language (even though translated) is rich and beautiful. A fantastic book!
