A review of "The Last DJ" — 2 years ago
This theme album is all about the record industry and the disturbing direction it has been going in since its conception. Tom tells it like it is and I love that about him. Though this record may not be as fast or fun as a lot of his stuff, it sends a message and that is an honorable thing to do in this industry as it is not usually received well. He was one of the only people to fight his label in the 80s to keep record prices from rising. He has morals and appreciates his audience. Seeing him in concert is such a treat and his performances warm your heart. He is a truly unique individual and that is exactly what this album is…Unique.
