WORTH CONSUMING!

As someone smarter than me said, the best praise for this will come in the form of the denials from incensed ‘believers’.

The day after I watched this, and heard the point about the saving grace of the States against the frankenstein war machine is Habeus Corpus, that Military Act was passed. Heil Bush!

not the end — 3 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I felt continuosly frustrated, bored and annoyed with all the repetitive padding throughout the series but driven to finish it for some gratification that was always one more book away (read $$$). But it never came and this non sequitur of a final book left me thoroughly unsatisfied and disappointed. You can’t use the medias rea defense for bad planning. It seemed more like a contractual obligation ending. The promise of an goreyesque children’s series was appealing, but the end of the series was an unfortunate event.

How "The Selfish Gene: 30th Anniversary Edition--with a new Introduction by the Author" changed my life — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

subtley. Flipped my perspective on genetics, motivations, selfishness and altruism. eg. -we don’t have sex to spread our genes, our genes create vehicles to spread themselves. And now I’m gonna sound like one of those university kids who are taking a course and repeat what their professor said like its their own idea – and i guess that’s the idea of memes – just like he said in the book!!!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Despite its apparent inconsistenticies, this movie’s first act disturbed me for a few days. I hope that the direction they began this film with will be further explored.

Where does this nihilism come from in some French movies? (see Baise Moi, Irreversible, Going Crazy etc..) Who inspired de Sade? Many horror movies fail because they try to reassure the audience rather than scaring and dismaying us like this movie does.

A question I have about "The Originals" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve been watching Quadrophenia and can’t help thinking that the g.novel must be credit the movie for it somewhere.

A story about "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

I liked the desaturated goreyesqueness but it would’ve made a better short.
