A story about "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer: How to Calm, Connect, and Communicate with Your Baby" — 1 year ago
I’d have to say I’m on more middle ground than completely “not worth consuming” only because there were some positive things I came away with from this book.
I found Ms. Hogg’s tone and attitude towards new parents very condescending. I know many of us just getting into this baby thing are unsure and not very confident, but I appreciate tips from “experts” that don’t make me feel like a complete idiot (or make me feel the choices I made concerning breastfeeding and co-sleeping were horrible you’ve ruined your baby ones!).
I was able to take some of her techniques however and modify them to use with my son at his bedtime so in part, that was some good from this book.
