A story about "Fallen Angels" — 6 years ago
I just finished this. It was a re-read, really, as I used to own it ages ago. It came on the Baen CD-ROM, so I gave it another go.

Got maybe a third of the way through, but the florid prose and affected mannerisms didn’t grab me. Leave this sort of thing to the Samuel R. Delany’s of the world…
Work/education. Still interesting, though.
Library book. While I’m in favor of public school, I still am interested in the alternatives (not that I’d have the patience or resources to home school).
I finally bought my own copy of this book, and will resume reading it when I clear my backlog of library books.
I’m reading the first half of this book, which covers the history of Iraq and it’s recent geopolitical significance. The second half covers the alternatives, including war, to dealing with the problem of Saddam Hussein. As this is moot, I may just skim that section before returning the book to the library…
One of the writers for Michael Moorcock’s New Worlds many years ago. I used to be heavily into New Wave Science Fiction (as a teen) so had to check this out.
Not enough progress to give a capsule review to, except to observe that the preface and introduction are both interesting (one by Richard Dawkins, one by the author).
I’m torn! It’s got to go back to the library because of the queue of people waiting, but I don’t really think it’s worth $45. Still, I wanna browse it some more. So I guess I’ll get back in the queue…
