Stiff dialogue in this paranormal romance and I don’t mean stiff in a good way.
Another run of the mill crafty mystery. The characters were fine, the mystery was interesting, but it didn’t exactly leave me wanting the next book in the series.
I liked the ending. Interesting characters and world.
Well paced, interesting beginning and ending. One of the better James Patterson books in the last couple of years.
The mystery element of this book was very good, but the author tended to bog it down with a lot of maid-work minutia. Part of the fun of these mysteries is seeing the protagonist Helen work a different job every book, but maid work is kind of boring. Worth-reading!
a gritty cop drama with a paranormal element. The narrative was a little disjointed in places, but interesting.
I didn’t think this book was nearly as good as Blood Brothers (the first book in the sign of seven trilogy.) It did set up a lot of things for the third book, so I look forward to finding out what happens to the characters, but all in all it was a bit of a yawner. The love story between Fox and Layla didn’t seem as genuine as the story line between Cal and Quinn in Blood Brothers.
Lots of grammar mistakes in this paranormal romance.
