A story about "The Big Over Easy: A Nursery Crime" — 1 year ago

I liked this book, but didn’t love it. Over the top nonsense, but an interesting investigation. The author was good at giving you little bits of the puzzle throughout the book to keep you wondering who committed the murder.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Highly recommended to anyone who has struggled with relearning or adapting to a different way of doing something after a stroke or a brain injury.

A story about "Aunt Dimity Takes a Holiday" — 1 year ago

Not enough good suspects, a somewhat contrived ending. Very reminiscent of “the butler did it” type ending mystery authors use to employ.

A story about "Industrial Magic: Women of the Otherworld" — 1 year ago

I like the characters Paige and Lucas much more than I like Elena and Clay, so I figured I would really enjoy this Kelley Armstrong book, but I didn’t find the story as engrossing as Dime Store Magic, still it was a somewhat enjoyable read.

A story about "Aunt Dimity: Detective" — 1 year ago

I didn’t find this book by Nancy Atherton nearly as satisfying as some of the other books in the series. I think I get sick of her main character falling in love with somebody new every book.

A story about "Knitting Rules!: The Yarn Harlot's Bag of Knitting Tricks" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Funny yet informative. However, not as funny as Yarn Harlot.

A story about "Fearless Fourteen" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Zany. Wacky characters. Janet Evanovich writes the funniest fluff around.

A story about "Eclipse" — 1 year ago

I found this book better than the previous book in the series (New Moon). Bella had slightly more personality, but it was predictable in a way, because who didn’t foresee the love triangle between Jake, Bella and Edward.

A story about "Grimspace" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Average space opera, it reminded me a little of Serenity and a little of Battlestar Galactica, but the concepts were good and some of it was very interesting.

A story about "New Moon" — 1 year ago

This book is a mix of teen angst, romance and action sequences. Personally, I thought it was too long. I think with a bit of pruning it could have been one of those books I didn’t want to put down and devoured in a couple of hours, instead I kind of struggled through some of the parts thinking, when is something going to happen?!? For me, it didn’t live up to all the hype.
