Another cute if predictible installment of the Aunt Dimity series.
I’ll be glad to see MJD take this series another direction, because I thought it was getting a little stale. The ending definitely made me excited to see what happens in the next book.
I was really disappointed with the previous book in this series (Undead and Unpopular). It made me think that MJD might be losing her edge, because it didn’t make me laugh at all, but I found this book to be an easy read, fun and fluffy. I laughed quite a bit. The ending felt a little rushed, but it was still satisfying.
I can honestly say this is the first MJD book that didn’t make me laugh at all. Seriously disappointing. It wasn’t bad enough to make me stop reading the series though.
Better than the previous book in the series. Simon R. Green excels at bringing rich fantasy worlds to life filled with interesting supporting characters. In this book, Eddie Drood finds managing his family a little difficult, so he enlists Molly Metcalf’s friends. In the end finding out that friends can sometimes be just as bad as enemies.
Interesting concept for a novel. Very similar to Simon R. Green’s Nightside series. He excels at interesting secondary characters.
Lack of originality in conception and plot, but good pacing. Not as good as Kelley Armstrong’s books featuring more of Paige.
Irish Tiger probably wasn’t the most interesting Nuala Anne investigation, but it still kept my interest.
