While Ann Hathaway was actually quite excellent in this film, the overall movie was just not. It was like watching some stranger’s home videos. Three words- Uncomfortable, Boring, Tragic.

There were defintely some great scenes, but overall I was quite a bit disapointed. Most of the actors didn’t seem to fit their roles, and that includes Meryl Streep. I adore her, but I did not like her in this movie. I do have all of the songs roaming around in my head, though, and I did like a few of the musical numbers in the movie. I also fast-forwarded through a couple. There was just something lacking in this film, I’m sorry to say.
