My friend Ryan gave this to me, and the stories in it are astounding.
A friend gave this to me years ago and I never picked it up because I’m not really a fan of horror stories. However, after a semester of grad school, which is its own horror story, I’m ready for it.
Mm, commute reading!
Although Banks is my favorite contemporary author, I am really tired of this story. I now know why I didn’t read it for three years.
I’m bored. The writing is barely mediocre, and although the premise is fairly fascinating, I don’t know how much longer I can slog through it.
Go on, laugh! I avoided this book when it came out because I thought it was so cheesy. It IS cheesy, but some of it is fairly insightful. It’s a nice reminder, at least, that I am not crazy … or at least, that I’m just as stereotypical as other people are.
A gift from my mother. So far it’s lovely.
It was precious and boring, for the most part, but still a neat concept.
I picked this up on a whim at a bookstore in Potrero Hill, and so far I’m enjoying it.
