A story about "The Great Divorce" — 4 years ago
Short, interesting book. Worth reading.
I'm currently reading 3 books, listening to 0 albums, watching 0 movies, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 0 other things.
I’m about half-way through this book now. After 9/11, I felt that the events of that day were something that probably could not have been foreseen or prevented. As I have read through this book, I feel even stronger about that, although there did appear to be security holes that should have been plugged prior to 9/11 that would have helped. I am putting this book on the back burner while I read some other books…
Don’t ask. I like what this book has to say about the different between real love and infatuation. Didn’t get much else out of it than I already realized..
Interesting so far. Good background of the economics of the US banking system at least.
I am 3/4 of the way through this book. It is kind of cheesy. After many of the stories he tells, he then will say he learned some corny lesson from the experience. Clinton is a relatively young man with a lot of his life yet to live. This even comes across in the book in a way. Most autobiographies obviously come towards the end of one’s life when that person probably just wants to get out the truth of everything that happend in his/her life. Clinton comes across as trying to use the book to help with his image and the image of his wife, for good reason since she may be making a presidential run in four years.
My mom had this book lying on a bookshelf, so I thought I’d read it. I’m very skeptical of books like this, where a Christian author feels he has life figured out and is now passing on the wisdom, but I thought I’d give it a chance.
I picked this up at the library. Just started it. The Great Gatsby and This Side of Paradise are two of my favorite books, so I’m hoping it’s good.
It was ok.
This should be interesting. Just starting it…
