Picked this book after a WSJ recommendation. Time :-)

The book talks about the excessive rather obsessive use of numbers and measurement, in general. Apart from a historical ramp of statistics starting from Bentham, John Stuart Mill, Keynes and more recently Edgar Cahn of the Time Dollars fame, this book contains nothing of a story. Beating round the bush, if I say.

Sigmoid curve, doughnut principle, sense of continuity, connection and direction. i liked the read immensely.

Could not relate to this classic at all.

Direct style. Tales of a Scottish vet. Very nice feeling.

Drucker describes signifcant portions and people of his life in an unforgettable manner.
