Re-reading this one—it’s a great re-read, as I’ve found that no matter what is going on in your life, the Tao Te Ching is always an interesting lens for your life.

This week’s senior book—a classic, and I’m still haven’t a blast teaching it. Between T. S. Eliot and James Joyce, I think my students will have had their fill of Modernism very soon.
This week’s senior book. Amazing – West totally predicts the media worship in American culture in the latter half of the 20th century. His characters are at once horrific and pitiable. Great stuff.
