Why I want to consume "Agile Web Development with Rails, Second Edition" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It feels kind of awkward to buy a book w/ PDF with free updates, and then see that it’s been dropped in favor of a full second edition, but the second edition is rewritten using new features like RJS templates and migrations. I’m nearly through the depot2 application and it’s much more natural to me this time around even though I haven’t coded anything since depot1.

Why it's taking me forever to finish consuming "Design for Community: The Art of Connecting Real People in Virtual Places" — 3 years ago

I ordered it from Amazon 3 months ago today and it still hasn’t shipped.

Why I recommend "Oysters" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Becaused steamed oysters are good, but I won’t be eating them raw again for a long time, if ever.

A question I have about "Sushi" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve had some sushi before, but I figure I’ve just had bad sushi. The stuff I’ve had was just completely tasteless so I didn’t like it.

Where is some sushi in the Dallas area that a student could afford?

A story about "Dr Pepper" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The Dr. Pepper bottled at Dublin, TX is the best because they still use real sugar. It’s one of those rare treat kind of things.

A story about "The Odyssey (Penguin Classics)" — 3 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

You’ll get far more enjoyment out of one of the many movie versions.

A story about the last time I consumed "Cow Tongue" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The last, and only time, I consumed this was in a Mexican restaurant in Arizona, of which I’ve sadly forgotten the name. I was perusing my menu when I spotted the dish. I’ve always been one to try semi-reasonable foods at least once, and this was the first chance I ever got to try beef tongue fajitas.

It was actually better than okay, it was really quite good and tender. I figure this is because the human tongue is the strongest muscle in the body and that since a cow spends its entire life chewing cud that it must be a pretty strong muscle.

If given the chance, I would eat it again.

A question I have about "King Kong (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Does Peter Jackson hold some kind of record for world’s largest bladder?

A story about the last time I consumed "tuna sandwich" — 3 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I never really ever liked tunafish sandwiches, but all it took was one week for me to swear them off for life. I was at Philmont Scout Ranch where Boy Scouts take some of the best hiking treks they’ll ever get to. However, I was there for some training on leadership and giving presentations. We stayed at a single campsite, but they still fed us the food they gave the trekkers. The same food high in saturated fat and salt designed to keep the hikers going, which included lots of spreadables. That’s not good on your system, and to this day I always pass on spreadables.

A review of "Doom" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Don’t go in expecting much, because it can’t touch the movie version of Lara Croft, but it’s certainly worth seeing if you liked Doom at all and certainly better than Epert’s 1 star.
