just listened to this again yesterday. it’s one of my favorite wait’s albums. he’s one of the most amazing lyricists alive today, for sure. this album just takes my breath away each time.

especially good tracks:
diamonds on my windshield
blue valentines

i never talk to strangers (always a fun duet between my husband and myself)
kentucky avenue
ruby’s arms

entertaining, a few good songs. my husband likes to say the ‘electric demons’ song is about us…lol.

overall though, i get tired of it a bit quickly (every song has something to do with fire or dancing…).

a few pop gems, but i’m a bit lost on the lyrical value (very immature). they remind of prince immensely. pretty fun, but not something that will have a long replay value for me.

this was recommended to me as a good horror film. i would argue whether this is really horror…but it’s still pretty good as far as a thriller/mystery-esque movie would go.

nice looking, as i would expect from this director. decent.

up there with ‘The Kitchen God’s Wife’ for favorite Tan stories.

wow, i couldn’t believe my luck in purchasing this movie along with ten others on the “Eastern Horror” dvd collection at the base shopette for 10 bucks!!!

kind of cheesy acting and dialogue, but a good ghost story (until like the last five minutes…)

not so great writing, but interesting content. i feel like i understand more about the FLDS and mormon churches now.

jane russell is way better than marilyn monroe in this movie. she really seems like the star of the show.
