WORTH CONSUMING!

This show is not as good as Super Troopers, but it’s still pretty damn funny.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The West Wing is my favorite tv drama ever. If politics and witty humor are your thing, then this show is a must see.

Favorite episode: 203 – The Midterms

WORTH CONSUMING!

Ben Folds is one of the greatest composers in the last 20 years, and this album reflects that. His lyrics are so personal, but because they are about everyday subjects, listeners are moved too. Ben is obviously more comfortable with his solo act on this album. The songs seem more thought out than his previous release. Although, he will never sound like Ben Folds Five by himself. So, no more “Steven’s Last Night in Town,” but this is definitely worth consuming.
Favorite track: “Bastard”

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This may be the funniest shows on television right now, or at least the top 5. Jeremy Piven is not the lead role, but he makes the show much funnier than it would be otherwise. His agent rants are priceless. Also, the endless cameos make the show that much more entertaining.

A story about "Peter Gabriel 1: Car" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is by far my favorite Peter Gabriel album. There are sounds on this album that I didn’t realize could be made in 1977, and Gabriel puts them together so well. On the other hand, there are straight-forward rock/pop songs on here too. He is truely a master of the musical realm. Favorite track: Moribund the Burgemeister

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This album, although still pop, is much more mature than his first release, and the production value is much better. His song writing ability has really grown. This time he has incorporated many different styles of music to be the backdrop for his love and sex inspired lyrics. I see him as a very intellectual song writer, so my only complaint about him is his shows are full of screaming young girls. Maybe I shouldnt be complaining…

A story about "Kung Fu Hustle (Widescreen Edition)" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is not the best martial arts movie I’ve seen, but if you want to laugh your ass off at goofy special moves and subtle puns, watch this. The first time I watched it I could not stop laughing. The fighting musician scene has no equal that I can think of. The ending was kind of cheesey, but so were many of the jokes too. So, I guess it was to be expected. Stephen Chow is amazing, and I hope he gets the chance to make Hollywood movies (as long as he is permitted the creativity he enjoys in China).

A story about "Pressure Chief" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This album is everything I expect from Cake. They have always kept to their own brand of automobie related rock, and Pressure Chief is no exception. Their dirty guitar tone, groovy bass hooks, and driving rythms are always a good combo. Although I think this album is similar to their previous work, there are plenty of gems to keep my attention. Plus, I’ve always been a fan of Cake, so like those before it, this album will find plenty of rotation in my player for a while.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This time Jamiroquai has pushed their unique funky soul dance tunes to the next level. I have always liked listening to Jamiroquai, but for some reason I can’t put this one down. Slap bass, punchy rythms, smooth vocals, floating guitars, what is not to love? This album is truely infectious. Beware though… If you start listening to this, you body will move. There’s really not much you can do about it.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Acoustic guitars, electrics guitar. Soothing melodies, rockin’ hooks. These guys have it all, and they make it all work. In some songs the Subways are bright swingy pop. In others they put forth a crushing rock sound. This dichotomy starts with the first track, “I want to hear what you have got to say,” where they move from a folk guitar verse to a get-your-ass-up-and-move rock chorus in about a minute. This is a must listen if you like brittish rock. And I do. So there.
