Along with Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy, this trilogy is the best of the SW expanded universe. The characters seem like the ones from the movies, which a lot of the other books fail to do so.

One of the better King TV products, although at times the humour and horror do not merge as well as it does in, say, “Twin Peaks” (which i think Kingdom Hospital in many ways is trying to tip it’s hat to). It is just a shame there is an ending which serves to open way for a second season which never eventuated, instead of staying with the full-season arc.

Although this concluding miniseries seems to cram too much into its three hour running time, it is a worthy end to an excellent series. One can only imagine how a fifth season could have excelled at telling this story over twenty episodes rather than four. Although it seems rushed, the last five minutes make it all forgivable and any fan should feel satisfied by the end of this tale – although still longing for further adventures should they be filmed.

The definitive film version of “Pride and Prejudice” – the casting is perfect, the script lively and knowing. There is real chemistry between the leads. I have no idea why they are attempting a remake when perfection can be found here.

Had this been the way Farscape truly ended, i don’t know how i could have gone on. Thankfully, “The Peacekeeper War” miniseries came along to tie up all loose ends – if only we could get some more telemovies.
Although this season has an extremely shaky beginning (to be frank, the first couple of episodes bored me to tears), but by midseason it is like the old Farscape we know and love. One of the best scifi series ever created.

A great dark comedy that unfortunately runs out of steam towards the end.

A worthy finale to the trilogy, although neither the second or third books were as good as the first.

Although this drags a little bit more than the first part of this trilogy, “Dark Force Rising” is still a worthy entry to the better stories of the Expanded Universe. The space battles are actually a bit tiresome in this volume, but the subplot involving Leia and the Noghri retains interest.

This trilogy (along with Timothy Zahn’s other SW novels) and Kevin J Anderson’s Jedi Academy Trilogy are the best books of the Expanded Universe as they most closely capture the spirit of the films and remain truest to the characters.
If only all the EU books could have been this successful.
